ADVOCACY WORK
In addition to my professional pursuits, I am deeply committed to advocacy and community involvement. As a mother, foster parent, and child advocate, I understand the importance of providing support and empowerment to vulnerable populations. Beyond the confines of my professional role, I dedicate my time to advocating for children in foster care and within the LGBTQ+ community.

My experiences as both a mother and a foster parent have provided me with invaluable insights into the unique challenges and needs of children in foster care. I am passionate about ensuring that every child has access to a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Whether through mentorship programs, educational initiatives, or policy advocacy, I actively seek to champion the rights and well-being of these young individuals.
Furthermore, my advocacy extends to the LGBTQ+ community, where I strive to create inclusive spaces and promote acceptance and understanding. I believe strongly in the importance of fostering environments where individuals of all identities feel valued and respected. Through participation in community events, outreach programs, and support networks, I work towards advancing equality and social justice for LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly youth facing unique challenges in the foster care system.

By integrating my personal commitment to advocacy with my professional expertise in instructional design and facilitation, I endeavor to bring a holistic perspective to my work. This intersection allows me to infuse my instructional materials and training sessions with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine understanding of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of learners. Ultimately, my goal is to make a positive impact both in and out of the classroom, advocating for those whose voices may often go unheard and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
