Parenting Classes
Positive Discipline
I offer a dynamic caregiver training series grounded in Positive Discipline, the evidence-based approach created by Dr. Jane Nelsen. As a certified Positive Discipline trainer, I bring warmth, humor, and real-world insight drawn from my experiences as a parent, foster parent, grandparent, and educator. Each session is designed through a trauma-informed lens, giving caregivers practical, compassionate tools to build stronger relationships, manage challenging behaviors, and support children’s long-term well-being.

Potty Training for Caregivers
Potty training can be challenging no matter when you start, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. In this light-hearted, practical session, we’ll explore what really works (and what really doesn’t), all while keeping our sense of humor—and our patience—on this potty-training journey. Caregivers will leave with realistic strategies, encouragement, and a reminder that progress, not perfection, is the goal.

Self-Care for Caregivers
This training empowers caregivers to prioritize their well-being using realistic, practical self-care habits that fit into busy lives. Through simple strategies, reflective activities, and supportive discussion, caregivers learn how to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and build routines that are sustainable—not overwhelming. The focus is on small, doable changes that make a meaningful difference in daily resilience and overall well-being.

Child Development
This training provides caregivers with a clear understanding of early childhood development through a DEI-informed and inclusive lens. We’ll explore how the developing brain grows, learns, and responds to the world, highlighting the ways culture, identity, environment, and relationships shape a child’s experience. Caregivers will gain practical strategies for supporting healthy development, honoring each child’s unique background, and fostering equitable, nurturing environments where all children can thrive.
